The Community Ambassador functions as a member of the Development staff of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay working with a team of United Way staff and volunteers to conduct, manage and monitor assigned corporate and individual solicitations and employee campaigns so that maximum results are achieved. The Chief Development Officer will work closely with the President, Development Staff, Development Committee, and the Board of Directors. The successful executive will have a core passion and keen understanding of UWMB/MV’s mission and commitment to the communities it serves. POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director, Corporate Relations, Professional Services is charged with growing and strengthening our relationships with a select group of organizations; Employee Campaign Managers, individual donors, and executive leaders within those organizations, in order to expand United Way presence throughout the organization. These relationships are meant to inspire greater and more consistent involvement with us, and will result in greater generosity of time, influence, and money. Each Director, Corporate Relations is expected to spend the majority of their time in the field meeting and interfacing with key constituents and prospects in order to identify, follow up and close opportunities within each organization. Each Director, Corporate Relations will develop and carry out a plan for their assigned area of responsibility, which includes using all United Way donor acquisition models (workplace campaigns, leadership events, young leaders, community engagement etc.) to leverage resources. The Professional Services Director, Corporate Relations will focus their attention on establishing and building strong donor and corporate relationships within the Professional Services division as well as identify and create new partnerships, assist in driving attendance at all United Way events and other related duties.  read more »

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing department is providing two distinct hands-on internship opportunities to individuals focused on the public relations and account management aspects of the Marketing field. Interns will be exposed to the day-to-day processing and execution of marketing strategies and collaterals. All interns will have administrative responsibilities including but not limited to mailing projects, editing and proofing.

Marketing Intern will work with the Development Marketing Teams assisting with research and bench marketing activities. Working collaboratively across the organization the intern will be involved with the tracking and production of cause marketing collaterals. The goal of the internship is to provide a meaningful work experience while granting greater insight on how our United Way explains what we do to our donor audiences.

Social Marketing Intern will work closely with the Public Relations team, assisting with the implementation and execution of marketing communications as well as work collaboratively with our Community Impact department. The Social Marketing Intern will gain insight on how our United Way measures effectiveness, indentifies and communicates community issues, and analyzes press trends.  read more »

The Marketing Manager will work with key consumer markets and act as an integral part of a fast-paced marketing department partnering with cross-functional teams on multiple initiatives. Working closely with creative services, production, special events, and fund-raising teams, the Marketing Manager will develop a variety of marketing programs that specifically address the needs of United Way supporters, constituents and partners. These will include, but are not limited to Leadership events, direct marketing, giving products and the Web.
